Marjorie Taylor Greene's Intense Workout Regimen

Marjorie Taylor Greene's interest in fitness intensified during her college years, as CrossFit's emphasis on functional movements and intense workouts resonated with her. She embraced the CrossFit lifestyle, immersing herself in its community and culture, which became an important part of her life.

As Greene's dedication to CrossFit grew, so did her proficiency in the sport. She committed herself to rigorous training regimens, constantly pushing her limits and striving for improvement.

That growing commitment eventually extended beyond her own workouts. Greene began coaching CrossFit and became increasingly involved in the business side of the sport. This set the stage for her partnership in CrossFit Passion and marked the beginning of a new chapter as a fitness entrepreneur.

CrossFit Passion: From Training to Business

By 2012, Marjorie Taylor Greene had moved beyond simply training in CrossFit and was working as a part-time coach at an Alpharetta gym. Her involvement eventually developed into a business venture. In 2013, she partnered with CrossFit athlete Travis Mayer to establish CrossFit Passion in Alpharetta.

A 2015 appearance on Atlanta Business Radio provides a closer look at Greene's involvement with the sport during this period. During the interview, Greene discussed her experience as the owner of CrossFit Passion, as well as her role as a coach and competitive athlete. MTG discussed the demands of running the gym while continuing to train and compete in CrossFit.

According to Atlanta Business RadioX, Greene was introduced to CrossFit in 2007 by a friend at Lifetime Fitness. After years of cycling, distance racing, and endurance activities, she committed to CrossFit full time in 2011.

The interview also highlights the depth of Greene's involvement in the sport. By 2015, she held CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. She also held USA Weightlifting Level 1, CrossFit Kids, and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certifications. MTG’s involvement extended well beyond the role of a gym owner. She became a coach and competitive athlete while helping others pursue their fitness goals.

MTG’s Departure from CrossFit Passion

The venture reflected a period in Greene's life centered on fitness, entrepreneurship, and personal discipline. Through CrossFit Passion, she combined her commitment to demanding physical training with the responsibilities of running a small business. The experience provided MTG with a business background that proved invaluable to her future political career.

Greene eventually left CrossFit Passion in 2017, bringing this chapter of her career to a close. Her years with the gym represented an important period in her pre-political life. During this time, CrossFit developed from a personal interest into a serious athletic pursuit, coaching career, and business venture.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's CrossFit Competition Record

Greene's competitive record provides a measurable look at her involvement in CrossFit. She participated in the CrossFit Open for seven consecutive years from 2012 through 2018. Her official CrossFit Games profile records her competing as a member of CrossFit Passion, providing a documented record of her involvement in the sport.

Greene's results varied throughout those years, with some of her strongest age group performances coming in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, she finished 72nd worldwide among women aged 40–44 in the Open, followed by a 62nd place age group finish in 2015. She also ranked 8th and 10th in the South East region in her age group during those respective years.

Her participation continued through 2018. That year, she placed 105th worldwide and 74th in the United States among women aged 40–44 in the Open. The CrossFit record also shows Greene reaching the Age Group Quarterfinals in 2014, 2015, and 2018, finishing 59th, 47th, and 102nd worldwide, respectively, in the women’s 40–44 division.

These results provide a measurable record of Greene's involvement in competitive CrossFit. While her CrossFit career was not the centerpiece of her later public life, her years of open competition demonstrate a deeper connection to the sport. Her involvement went beyond simply owning a gym or participating in the CrossFit community.
