Donald J. Trump played a formidable role in the success of the hit TV series Celebrity Apprentice. Trump, alongside co-producer Mark Burnett in the year 2003, collaborated on the set of The Apprentice, which would premiere on the 8th of January, 2004, on the NBC network. Trump was the host from the inception in 2004 until 2015 when he officially launched his presidential Candidacy for the 2016 election cycle.

During Trump’s tenure, the show made incredible ratings year on year, with ratings always exceeding 5 million viewers year on year from 2008 until Trump’s departure in 2015. The Apprentice saw a decade of memorable entertainment, starring the likes of Joan Rivers, Piers Morgan, Denis Rodman, and so many more high-profile celebrities and public figures during the series. The famous catchphrase “you’re fired” became Trump’s trademark on The Apprentice and set the stage during the show in the cutthroat world of business.

Trump’s stern and no-nonsense performance on the show during the airing of The Apprentice made for memorable and distinct moments on the show. Trump earned an estimated 213 million dollars from the show across all 14 seasons.


Trump continued the family business within the Trump Organization throughout the decade, with Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump taking up roles as Boardroom advisers, whilst Eric Trump was appointed the Boardroom judge. Celebrity Apprentice helped raise billions of dollars for worthy charities, including St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Red Cross, and countless others.
